hospital building

Rady Children’s profound impact on the San Diego Community started in 1954 when we opened their doors to treat our first 13 patients in response to the polio epidemic. As todays largest children’s hospital on the West Coast, and only pediatric trauma center, Rady Children’s provides compassionate and comprehensive care to nearly 300,000 children yearly.

Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated through our advanced treatments and technologies, best-in-class programs and services, and expert staff and team members. We not only treat children when they are sick, we seek out ways to help them thrive and reach their full potential. Our mission to restore, sustain, and enhance the health and development potential of children through excellence in medicine, care, education, research, and advocacy remains at the heart of all we do.

Rady Children’s is more than just a hospital. It is a place where stars twinkle indoors at night; where musicians, storytellers, and canine friends bring joy to young patients; and where children bravely facing illness and injury smile and celebrate as they heal. Here, children always come first.

As a nonprofit hospital, we depend on support from our community to ensure children and their families in need receive the best care.

When you choose to register or support a Miracle Maker, you help children you may never meet, but whose lives have been changed through your investment in Rady Children’s.

Invest in the bright futures of San Diego children.
