Last Wednesday, I along with Trevor, Ellie, Grandpa, and many others stood in front of the hospital and helped create a festive atmosphere for patients and their families. And joyful it was - everyone was smiling and waving lights to the kids in the windows - and they waved their lights back! But I'll also share that it was a tough moment for me when I saw a young boy in a hospital gown standing alongside his dad at the window on the second floor. To know that he would be spending the night in the hospital and we would be going home ... it was a real reminder of how important it is to support his care and wellbeing.
I'm proud to say that donations from friends and family helped surpass my goal and raise $1,675 to help San Diego's sickest kids. Thank you for helping make Light the Way possible this year.
