The Rady Children’s Hospital NICU program spans eight units across San Diego, including two on our main campus. Our specialists care for 800+ babies each year for a range of conditions from prematurity to infection; from congenital birth defects to genetic disease. This year, our outstanding team has earned Rady Children’s Neonatology the #4 ranking in US News and World Reports “Best Children’s Hospitals” survey. Our NICU has been the flagship for the implementation of genomic medicine for critically ill infants, transforming the diagnosis and treatment of our most fragile patients and launching a sea-change in pediatric health.
Community support helps us to provide world-class care for the babies and families who need it most. Your support resources our dedicated team of nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, speech and occupational therapists, lactation specialists, social workers, parent liaisons, researchers, and support staff who work together to provide the best possible care for our little ones. Your gifts help us provide life-saving equipment and pioneering approaches to give our NICU babies the chance to survive and thrive. Your generosity makes possible education and training to keep our team at the forefront of neonatal medicine and evidence-based care.
Thank you for joining our team, and for your investment in the health of our tiniest patients – and the people who love them.
