Light the Way

Transforming Mental Health

Welcome to our Transforming Mental Health Team Page!

Youth depression and anxiety has doubled since the start of the pandemic.

The Transforming Mental Health (TMH) Initiative at Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego is working toward effective prevention, early identification, mental health integration and treatment services, policy advocacy, and research to improve the mental health status of children and youth. We are dedicated to providing whole child care that identifies and intervenes early to address the mental and behavioral health needs of the community we serve!

This Holiday season, TMH would like to raise money to fund a library and therapy toys for our patients. Bringing education to our patients and their families is very important to us. Our goal is for this library to provide our therapy patients with digestible information and workbooks on anxiety, depression, self-esteem, mindfulness, self-compassion, and many more mental and behavioral health topics that will supplement the incredible care our therapists are providing. This is a great way for youth to engage in their mental health care in fun and interactive ways. Your generous donations will directly impact our patients and their families!

Light the Way is Rady Children's Hospital’s annual event aimed at bringing joy to patients and providing critical funding to the Hospital. Every dollar raised is another “yes” to ensuring patients and families have access to excellent care.
