Eleanor Jean Saint was born on February 4th, 2021 and passed away on March 13th, 2021 from a rare genetic condition. We feel very fortunate to have spent 37 days with this amazing little girl. During her short time, we were able to bring her home for a few days where she met her 2-year-old brother George, was held by some of her grandparents, went to the beach, took way too many pictures, and even had a trip to target with Mom. She loved being held and watching her brother hit golf balls. She did not enjoy diaper changes, baths, or the Arkansas Razorback onesie dad put on her. Eleanor knew she was loved every second of every day she was with us.
During our time in the NICU we were amazed by the immense impact the doctors, nurses, and support staff have on each baby and each baby’s family. The compassion and knowledge of the NICU team combined with the ability to access specialists from Neurology, Radiology, Occupational Therapy, Palliative Care, and Genetic Counseling all in one place provided a great deal of comfort to our family (and while we didn’t meet all of the organizations at the hospital we are confident the CHET (Children's Hospital Emergency Transport) team are the Navy Seals of the hospital).
Our endowment fund will support Neonatology at Rady Children’s Hospital in perpetuity, and commemorate our deep gratitude to the Team who truly cared for Eleanor and made us feel like family.
Please help us in our commitment to Rady Children’s Hospital by taking time to donate to the Eleanor Jean Saint Endowment Fund.
