About Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego

Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego has had a profound impact on our community since we opened our doors to treat 13 polio patients in 1954. Today Rady Children's provides a full spectrum of care to more than 250,000 children every year and is the region's only designated pediatric trauma center.

Our commitment to medical excellence is demonstrated through our state-of-the-art equipment, comprehensive programs and services, and superior medical team. We not only treat children when they are sick, we seek out ways to help keep them well. Our mission: "To restore, sustain, and enhance the health and developmental potential of children through excellence in care, education, research and advocacy" remains at the heart of all we do.

Rady Children's is extraordinary in another way too. It is a place where stars twinkle at night indoors; where mimes, musicians and storytellers comfort our patients; and where sick children smile when you think they wouldn't or couldn't. Here, children always come first.

About the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders

A cancer diagnosis can be devastating and change a child’s and family’s life in an instant. Here at the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, we offer a full range of clinical services, as well as psychosocial programs and resources, to help patients and their families from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

Comprehensive, compassionate care is provided by the Hematology/Oncology Division of Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego. Along with providing specialized cancer treatment and hematology services to children in San Diego, Imperial and southern Riverside counties, we provide select services to children in northern Mexico, the Pacific Islands and southern Orange County.

The entire Peckham Center, including the Viterbi Outpatient Clinic, is housed at our incredible Acute Care Pavilion. There are 38 private rooms and advanced high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration, helping to reduce the risk of infection. And just steps away, you’ll find Carley’s Magical Garden, a whimsical, interactive place where kids can escape the world of medicine.

Through research in the lab and at the bedside, we evaluate the most promising treatments, with the hope of discovering cures. As a leading teaching program, we train the best and brightest future physicians.

As a non-profit hospital, we depend on our community to help fund critically needed care and services.

When you choose to register or support a fundraiser, you help children whom you may never meet but whose lives have been saved through your investment in our Hospital.

Truly, every dollar matters. Please help us by making an investment in the health of our community's children.
